Folded Oil Jug

Miracle of Oil
Miracle of Oil – two sculptures, one story: an oil jug and an olive. The fruit at the beginning, the vessel at the end, and between them the oil that lasted eight nights.
Both forms are built from folded bands. On the jug the folds run like fabric around a calm body; on the olive a single line wraps around the fruit. Together they read as a short line with a rhythm – for a shelf, a sideboard or the Hanukkah table, and for the time after.
