A small jug of oil that lasted eight nights – as a calm, folded form.

The oil jug is the first piece of the series and its beginning. Wide fabric folds wrap a rounded body, rise to the neck and run out in one quiet line. The proportion stays closed and weighty, the folds bring movement into it. In wood effect the jug reads like fired clay; light settles in every fold.

Designed and made in Frankfurt am Main. Made to order in Germany: the object is additively manufactured, layer by layer from PLA; fine layer lines are part of the process. Each piece is only made once you order – a piece of its own; subtle differences in tone, surface and layer pattern make it unmistakably individual.
