About Versform
A thought becomes a form.
Versform is a design studio for sculptural objects, based in Frankfurt am Main.
The name comes from Frankfurt’s Poets’ Quarter, where the streets bear the names of poets. A verse is a line with rhythm; a form is something you can hold. Our work lies in between: a thought becomes a design, and the design becomes an object.
Our objects live through their form, not through ornament. Flowing folds and folded bands give them movement and rhythm; negative space lets them breathe. Every series follows one line and varies it – like the stanzas of a poem.
Every piece is made to order in Frankfurt am Main: layer by layer from matte, plant-based PLA, then inspected individually. The fine layer lines remain visible; they belong to the form as lines belong to a verse.
How we work
- One series, one rhythm: a shared line, each piece with its own variation.
- One piece, one colour: matte, calm tones – exactly as you see them in the pictures.
- Designed and made to order in Frankfurt am Main, every piece inspected individually.
- Light objects are made for LED tealights, never real candles. None of our objects are meant for water.
